03.30.16

It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold: When it is summer in the light and winter in the shade. - Charles Dickens-

Charles Dickens describes Moses Lake springs perfectly. Stepping outside in the warm sunshine feels so good and you can finally dress a little bit lighter, only to regret it the second you step into work. I work in a service drive and it is always SO cold, even with the sun shining so brightly outside. It is so deceiving! Anyways, work is work, I've been busy as usual trying to finish up orders and prepare for my cruise. I really want to purchase a new camera, I'm still doing some research between the Canon 5D Mark III and the Sony A7S II. In the meanwhile, I purchased a lens for my Iphone to test out and see if I could wait to purchase the camera, or if I could use my phone as my travel camera. (Also, I just switched over from Android to Iphone. I will probably make another post with the pros and cons from using both phones.) I haven't been able to test out the lens too much, I am more interested in making videos than anything so I still have to go exploring and hopefully take some awesome shots. However, I did go take a few pictures in my backyard and I am pretty well pleased.

These close up photos were all taken with the macro lens, this was the 10x I believe

These were taken with the 15x macro, which is even closer and more detailed

I was using the wide lens here

I'm pretty happy with these lenses, however I know that in the future I'm still going to purchase a DSLR. I'm just going to use these in place for the moment. I mainly got these for the wide lens, so that when I travel I can fit in more of the landscape into my pictures. They also come with a fisheye but I don't have any good photos to post yet.

I also wanted to give my sweetest little niece a birthday shoutout... She turned one yesterday!

Isn't she just the sweetest?! I melt. Happy birthday darling Aniyah!! You are so very loved. ❤️
