It is currently 11:13 PM and I'm waiting for my bed sheets to get out of the dryer. (I started laundry really late today). I'm almost ashamed to admit that I have spent the entirety of the day doing almost absolutely nothing. And by nothing I really mean NOTHING. Nothing but R&R (rest &relaxation) but it has actually been kind of nice, regardless of the fact that it was still nothing. Last weekend was a three day weekend (for most, not including myself) and after I got off work on Saturday I packed my bags and headed to Portland to visit some friends, (HI Hannah! 👋🏻) and to just hang out. Looking back now I really wish I took some pictures as the drive was so beautiful. Long, but beautiful. The first night there we went to the Portland City Grill for dinner, which was fabulous and swanky, and it was on the 30th floor I believe and so it being late at night all you could see were the bright and glittering lights of the city below. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. The food was expensive, but they are known for their steaks and it was worth absolutely every penny! The next day we drove to Vancouver and hung out at Tom and Jaimie's cabin for a few hours and it felt like paradise. It was really deep in the woods and reminded me exactly of the cabin we stayed at in Leavenworth for my birthday. After that we went to Beaches, which was another pretty good restaurant right on the water. Anyway, Portland was good. I'm actually wanting to go back and maybe drive over and stay in Seaside for Labor Day weekend. Summer is almost over so I want to pack in as much as possible before the cold sets in. Speaking of, I do want to go skydiving... Any takers?? Haha
This past week has been pretty busy. Scott has been gone at work so we've been a little short handed, and then Friday it was just Bill and I manning the entire service department. Really long day, we didn't get a break but our manager did buy us J's teriyaki for lunch so we couldn't complain too much. Interestingly enough, with us only being 50% staffed, Friday was probably the smoothest day out of the entire week! I actually had a fantastic day, I was happy and bubbly and all of my customers were really nice and talkative. I also went out after work every single day of the week (which is probably why I spent the day doing nothing today) so it was definitely jam packed and busy and good. Anyway, I'm sure my laundry is done by now so I'm going to add a few photos and run off to make my bed! Ciao my beauties 😘
Happy birthday Elvira!

And finally a quite unflattering picture of myself that Paul snuck during our lunch at Pizza Hut. I am so excited because I finally have someone that gets lunches at the same time that I do! The day after this we spread out on a blanket at the park and napped through our lunch hour. YES! 🙈😄
